Barakah Miller
Victim to Victorious. Barakah Miller has overcome obstacles that would seemingly be
insurmountable. Barakah, known as “God’s Blessing” has become an accomplished author, speaker and transformational coach for over a decade. Her powerful message of encouragement, resilience, perseverance, and empowerment has impacted countless audiences of both adults and teens. Ms. Miller has provided leadership and mentorship for the past 20 years, through her own tragedy she has been able to instill wisdom as a healing & relationship expert.
For 5 years (age 5 – 10) she endured sexual molestation which contributed tremendously to her identity and quietness. Barakah’s relationship in her teen years with her mother was tumultuous. At the age of 16, she was emancipated as an adult and although never got into any juvenile trouble, she struggled. Two years later she graduate from high school and a week and a half after graduation on Father's Day, Barakah lost her grandmother; two months later she witness her father take his last breath.
Years later she gave birth to her 5th child prematurely and grieved her short life 3 weeks later. Thus birthing Riyah's House for Women and 3 years later Motivated2Succed was created through her online publication. And most recently Youth Transitioning, which serves teens who are emancipated, runways, and foster teens transitioning from state care. All 3 entities are organized under Riyah's House: A Community Development Corporation founded in March 2017.
Barakah has successfully obtained degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Corrections/Criminal Justice and is a Certified Empowered Living Coach. She has received honors from Ferris State University and has created BREAKTHROUGHmagazine and numerous entrepreneur ventures.

Terea Hernandez, MA, LLPC
Social Worker
Terea Hernandez is a Limited License Professional Counselor received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan – Dearborn in 2001. She later received her M.A. in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2013. Ms. Hernandez’s clinical training and experience is specializing in providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, anger, post traumatic stress following incidents of trauma.
